Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using FastZip.io at https://fastzip.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of service
FastZip.io provides free, browser-based tools for extracting, creating, converting, and protecting archive files (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, and other formats). All file processing occurs entirely within your browser using WebAssembly technology. No files are uploaded to our servers at any time.
FastZip.io offers a free tier and an optional Pro tier. Free-tier usage is subject to file size limits (currently 200 MB per input file). Pro-tier limits are higher (currently 2 GB per input file). Limits are subject to change with notice.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use FastZip.io only for lawful purposes. You must not use the service to:
- Process, distribute, or store files that infringe on intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to circumvent technical limitations, security measures, or file size limits.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the site in a way that unreasonably burdens our servers.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our proprietary source code.
- Use the service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
4. User-provided files
You are solely responsible for the files you process using FastZip.io. Because all processing occurs client-side, we have no access to your files and bear no responsibility for their contents. You represent that you have the right to process any files you submit to the tool.
5. Intellectual property
FastZip.io and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Our tools are built on open-source software (including libarchive, compiled to WebAssembly), which is used under their respective licenses.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
FastZip.io is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce accurate results for all archive formats and configurations.
You should always retain original copies of files before processing them with any tool, including FastZip.io.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FastZip.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or corruption of files.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $10 if you have made no payment).
8. Pro tier and billing
Pro tier features are available via a recurring subscription. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on the agreed billing cycle. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details. Refunds are handled at our discretion; contact us at support@fastzip.io if you have a billing issue.
9. Advertising
Free-tier pages may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar networks. Advertisement content is controlled by the ad network, not by us. Pro subscribers see no advertisements.
10. Changes to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which FastZip.io is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of FastZip.io after changes constitutes acceptance.
