Our mission
Dealing with ZIP, RAR, and 7Z files should not require downloading desktop software, creating an account, or uploading private files to a stranger's server. It should just work — immediately, in the browser you already have open.
FastZip.io exists to make that a reality. We built a fast, capable archive toolkit that runs 100% client-side using WebAssembly. Your files stay on your device at all times. No exceptions.
How it works
FastZip.io uses libarchive — the same battle-tested C library that powers 7-Zip and BSD tar — compiled to WebAssembly via the archive-wasm project. When you drop a file into the tool, it is processed inside a Web Worker thread in your browser. The main page stays responsive. Your file never touches a network connection.
